Five Federal Judges Coming up for a Vote

Senator McConnell’s tireless efforts to get Senate Democrats to agree to allow more federal judges come to the floor for a vote is finally showing some fruit.  The Senate leadership has agreed to allow five judges to be considered this week:

  • Nomination of Helene White to the Sixth Circuit Court
  • Nomination of Raymond Kethledge to the Sixth Circuit Court
  • Nomination of Stephen Murphy to District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan
  • Nomination of William Lawrence to District Judge for the Southern District of Indiana
  • Nomination of G. Murray Snow to District Judge for District of Arizona

This evening the Senate will consider the nominations of White, Kethledge and Murphy. Thursday the Senate will consider Lawrence and Snow.
